FRANKFURT, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 14.65 points, or 0.11 percent, to close at 13,939.71 points.
Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.49 percent. Energy group RWE and housing association Vonovia added 2.26 percent and 1.64 percent respectively.
European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero lost the most among the blue chips, falling 3.70 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement went down by 1.55 percent and 1.20 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 279.23 million euros (339.71 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose by 0.86 percent to close at 1.870 euros per share on Wednesday.
